You don’t have to send me a text every day
Cause I’ll always be right there
On that line where work and life collide

And if you’re ever stressed out
You just have to remember
That you’ve got a little village

And if you ever feel sad
Perhaps even unprepared for the baby blues
Dance to your favorite song like you always do

As long as you never forget
That if things ever do go wrong
This poem’s about you

He overthinks when he’s overhelmed
And that’s okay
Because there’s nothing that can’t be solved with the reassuring notion that love always comes on top

And I’ll be here to remind you
That even before you gave birth
Somebody loved you
And now we’ll love all three of you

And I’ll be here in case you forget
That you sparkled before motherhood
And you’ll sparkle during it too

I’ll do my best to convince you
That while change is inevitable
Your vivacity will never become questionable

The thunder, the lighting and even the rain
Won’t be able to wash away
