Anchor of consciousness
There is no closet in the labyrinth of contemplation
Memories cannot be stored away under lock and key
It takes courage and adherence to become the captain of our own destinies
It means never turning away from the steering wheel,
even if you’re all alone on the deep blue sea
Memories cannot be stored away under lock and key
They demand to be carried through the maze of humanity,
creating a burden so heavy one cracks from the pressure
It takes courage and adherence to become the captain of our own destinies
It means never turning away from the steering wheel,
even if you’re all alone on the deep blue sea
Though a question bears asking;
is there a reason the echoes of our minds cannot be kept at bay?
Surely there is a room up there where thoughts can be anchored as we swim through existence?
How else do we avoid getting lost in the depths of our consciousness?
